I was given free tickets for this review, all opinions are my own.

Last weekend, we got the chance to check out the Kids Obstacle Course in CastleRock, CO. I literally had no idea what to expect except for what I have seen on their website. I took all 4 kids with me, which was a little daring since my youngest is 5. I was afraid my older ones would blow through the course and my 5-year-old would quit halfway through.
However, my youngest was so excited this was something he actually got to participate in with his older siblings, he literally out ran me the entire race! I had to keep trying to catch up to him!
They have the races all over the country, and it looks like they are heading to Portland, OR next! To see their entire lineup, check out Kids Obstacle Challenge.
If your going to sign up, here is a list of things to have on hand to be prepared for the race. When your running with kids, you always want to be over prepared!
- A backpack: I am SO glad I brought this because we had to park pretty far away from the event and going back and forth to the car was not an option. I packed a change of clothes for each kid, a water bottle and my phone to take pictures of course!
- A light snack: Once we got there, even-though my kids had just ate in the car, everyone needed something to fuel up before the race. Thank goodness Clif bars were on site and I was able to get all the kids a little snack before the race.
- Water shoes: Keen makes my favorite water shoes just because you can actually run in them and go over rough terrain. My oldest had some hand me down, cheap water shoes and his feet hurt the whole time.

It was BLAZING hot and thats saying something since it was in Colorado so we got snowcones before AND after the race. Man I wish I was a kid again ;-)
Seriously a super fun race we will do again next year.
