We headed out this past weekend to check out the Jordan World Circus while it is traveling around Washington. It's been a few years since we've had a chance to see a circus and the kids were interested in seeing what it was all about.
The Jordan World Circus reminded me of the classic circuses I saw as a child--three rings, traditional acts with clowns, ringmasters, acrobatics and similar acts. The tiger show featured beautiful big cats performing their own tricks. Despite all this, they've added a modern twist to what I remember. The rope acrobatics to the Aladdin theme along with the aeriel stunts on the "Wheel" entertained both my children. We also enjoyed the dog show, and my son wants to teach our dog some of the same tricks!
Other add-ons are available as well during the preshow and the intermission, at additional charges. These include camel, elephant, and pony rides, photos with tigers or performers, light up novelties, and snacks. There's plenty to do for all ages and it made for a great family evening!
